Totally Custom will take your project from start to finish,…. One of the most valuable aspects of a renovation, is considering the bare bones of your structure and making the necessary adjustments to accommodate your new design. Having Totally Custom take down your old "space" before building your new one is incredibly advantageous to you.

We carefully consider the skeleton of your building or structure when formulating the plans for your new build. We'll make recommendations of what needs to be addressed before the new walls and cabinets are in - like straightening a wall, or gaining a few extra valuable inches or feet of space, addressing a "long lived" issue before it gets built into your new home plans.  We will consider and present a number of options before the cabinets are in.

The concept of a "ready made" or "canned kitchen or cabinet" from various companies is meant to suggest you will save design hassle and money. But do they really? Not exactly. Every house and home renovation is unique. Age of the  structure also comes into play. Often, a ready-made kitchen or cabinet can fit,… give or take,… but will you be utilizing all the potential space that you have? Or will fitting a "block+block" cabinet leave way to lost space where fillers will need to be used. A filler is a fake front that covers the lost and unaccounted for space that didn't make it into your kitchen, cabinet or vanity design, because your "space" was a tad too big for the selected "ready made" cabinet. Losing 4 inches for example, could have been turned into a vertical under counter spice or towel hanger drawer beside the sink or stove. Is the fridge cabinet built to take your fridge in mind or any standard size fridge? This block+block solution can often lead to gaping spaces between cabinets and applainces, like the fridge and cabinetry above. It's worth considering the whole process of tear down and build up.
